The Mastery Reps: Escape the Norm.
“I’ll just do it tomorrow” is bs...
What is the norm?
The norm is saying you’ll do it tomorrow.
Saying that maybe your dreams aren’t for you.
To complain about the challenges life throws, and to make excuses for why you can’t take steps forward-
THAT means to fit the norm.
But you know what? Maybe you’re right.
Maybe your dreams aren’t for you. Because if they were, you wouldn’t hold yourself back.
Dreams are for those who execute obsessively.
Those who strive to make shit work no matter how much they have to suffer to get what they want.
Dreams are for those who fight with Passion.
Passion means to suffer.
And if you aren’t willing to feel the pain of discomfort, embarrassment, mistakes, failures-
Then maybe your dreams aren’t for you.
If you can’t sacrifice the time to improve,
energy to track cals and progress,
and effort to stop being lazy and get ya ass to work,
then don’t expect to make it far in life.
But if you really want to make a change for yourself-
To become someone you read about in books-
Then figure out what your dream is,
Create a simple plan to start, and then start executing relentlessly.
You can’t expect balance in the beginning-
That shit won’t get you far.
It HAS to be:
Fuck your feelings.
Fuck your comfort.
Fuck your excuses.
Focus on what needs to be done, and then GET IT DONE without complaining.
I promise you’ll get far. Just don’t expect the finish line to appear any time soon.
This ain’t a 5K.
This shit is an ultra-marathon, and the longest of them all.
Talk to you soon,
Brandon Aguilera.
